On Line Pay-Per-View Distribution Opportunities for Filmmakers, Festivals and Distributors

PPV Movie Distribution will reshape the way independent films and video are marketed, sold and viewed by the publicPPV  movie distribution across networks and groups is going to give independent filmmakers access to the audience that has been controlled by gate keepers. PPV movie distribution will give the public access to the kind of high quality content too long denied them by the media powerbrokers.

There are 4,000 to 5,000 true indie films made each year, without a distribution plan. Because distributors have used film festivals as a screening device, the filmmakers typically enter the rat race of film festivals. But what's happening with film festivals? Take a look at Sundance. 3,624 films were entered -- 1,573 documentaries and 2,051 narrative features. Sundance accepted 121 films. Of those, 4 sold domestic rights for more than $1 million”.

It means innovative distribution and marketing systems that get films in front of viewers and revenue for independent filmmakers. The distribution machine is incapable of getting good indie indie films to the right audience  and creating PPV movie distribution opportunities that pays the Filmmaker First; this is what The Filmmakers Channel is all about.

1. Through the Internet and TV
Your movie in front of television viewers surfing the internet from their couch to purchase your film.

2. A Hungry Public
You pay $100/month for cable get 100 channels and watch 5.  Audiences  are waking up and they want better programming and choices.

3. Internet Niches and Networks
The internet is the epitome of "Niche" and the growth of  "Social Networks" will allow filmmakers to distribute their film to a targeted audience; Distribution is becoming fluid and dynamic.

4. There is going to be an avalanche of opportunity for filmmakers and others who are  able to  embrace the future and comprehend the power networked based distribution

Before the internet book authors were at the mercy of publishers: "Sorryy kid, no thanks" was the usual response. Now any author can develop an income by writing eBooks, building a website and driving traffic.

Distribution will not be dependent on anything more then filmmakers having their film on line available in TV quality format with built in PPV capability. From there your movie can be sold from any website; ours, yours, from our channel, or our partners channels and eventually directly to the television audience.

For filmmakers it means they can take a movie to distribution in a matter of seconds. They won't have to 'hope' someone notices. their. They will be self reliant,  independent and can produce films whose merit is judged directly by the larger audience rather then a gatekeeper.

It means festivals can now integrate distribution as part of their festival. They can stop creating a population of disappointed losing filmmakers and create a festival culture that rewards content and effort based on the nature of your festival, not the distributors.

For entrepreneurs who believe that the niche channel is the mode of distribution moving forward the time to act is now., not later after Hollywood wakes up.
